Jay became a below the knee amputee at the age of twenty-two caused by osteosarcoma, or bone cancer. Admittedly, his attitude was not very positive immediately following his amputation. It wasn’t until he met Bob, a few times, that he began to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Since then, Jay has become a successful prosthetic assistant, skilled laboratory technician and manager, accomplished semi-professional bowler and role model for other amputees. Jay is passionate about helping others, he assists in the training of our residents and makes sure their laboratory skills are up to par so we can continue to produce only the highest quality prosthetics for our amputees.
