McKayla is a Resident Prosthetist-Orthotist at Comfort P&O from Davison, MI. She received her BS in Kinesiology with a specialization in Health Promotion from Michigan State University, followed by her Master’s in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Eastern Michigan University. McKayla became interested in prosthetics and orthotics throughout her entire life. She has been a hemipelvectomy amputee for 22 years. While earning her undergraduate degree and graduate degree, she has competed in Paratriathlons, nationally. McKayla is a Paralympic hopeful for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games. Outside of work, you can find McKayla swimming, hand cycling, race chair pushing (running), reading, and spending time with her boyfriend.
