Julia Wright
Julia's interest in the field of prosthetics and orthotics started in 2017 when she began working as a prosthetic and orthotic technician while earning her undergraduate degree from Purdue University- Indianapolis. During her senior research project, she also worked as a researcher for Surestep, studying pediatric orthotics and the effects on gait kinematics. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2019, followed by her Master's in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Northwestern University in 2021. She began volunteering for Camp No Limits and Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association while earning her Master's degree, and enjoys volunteering to this day. Her favorite thing about the field of prosthetics and orthotics is the combination of engineering and helping others. Outside of work Julia enjoys playing volleyball, working out, and spending time with her family and two three-legged dogs.
