As an energetic teenager, I encountered physical obstacles with playing my favorite sports and staying active at a competitive level. A strong, interactive team guided me through many surgeries and together we set new goals – which one day turned into the dream of being a certified prosthetist-orthotist. I earned my undergraduate degrees at the University of Michigan and attended graduate school at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Now, I practice where I completed my residencies, at Comfort Prosthetics and Orthotics. Every day it is my goal to spread the encouragement and knowledge that I received. Even when not at work, I look for smiles as I spend time with my husband, our dog Rosie, and our tripod dog Charlie.
